BlueWave is hiring a CAD Designer for an Engineering client with headquarters in Central Florida, 32163. As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for gathering and collecting design requirements for new constructions, alterations, or repairs.
Responsibilities:
Prepare architecture design based on design requirements.
Submit architectural designs to architect and clients for review and approval.
Support and guide designers involved in preparing drawings.
Review design requirements and determine the best design options for building projects.
Participate in team meetings to coordinate design options and ideas.
Use CAD effectively to draft design drawings, including 3D models.
Modify and update designs based on review comments from architect, plan reviewer, and builder.
Ensure to follow best practices and company standards.
Evaluate constraints for construction projects.
Maintain all the documentation related to architectural designs and construction conditions.
Update existing design techniques with respect to the latest design trends.
Provide project status updates to management and stakeholders on a regular basis.
Manage and execute design assignments in a timely manner.
Develop building specifications for construction plans according to the client's needs.
Prepare detailed architectural instructions and designs for construction projects.
Understand client requirements and develop a preliminary sketch for their approval.
Interact with the project team to provide architectural design and technical solutions.
Develop and distribute architectural and working drawings on time.
Prepare working drawings and sketches, manually or using computer, to show details.
Requirements:
Seasoned history of residential (single and multifamily) and commercial building design/drafting
Strong knowledge of building codes, fire codes, accessibility codes, building occupancy densities, and their effect on building design
Extensive history/experience using AutoCAD Architecture and Revit.
Ability to review design requirements and determine the best design options for building projects.
Experience in modifying and updating designs based on review comments from architects, plan reviewers, and builders.
Proficiency in maintaining all documentation related to architectural designs and construction conditions.
Knowledge of best practices and company standards in architectural design.
Experience in evaluating constraints for construction projects.
