Senior Electrical Engineer

BlueWave is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer for an engineering client with headquarters in Sanford, FL 32771. The Sr. Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design of new electronic products up to full production. This includes specification reviews, development program timelines and reports, design reviews, simple mechanical designs, documentation packages, preproduction builds, and transfers to production.

Responsibilities:

• Experience in analog and digital circuit design

• Utilize engineering CAD software, including fusion and PCB Design software packages

• Troubleshoot PCBs to the Component Level

• Create embedded software programming in C/C++ for circuit testing and troubleshooting.

• Surface mount soldering as necessary

• Prepare correct first-time designs for manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.

• Work on the Research and Development team to develop cutting-edge visual technologies

• Interface with the manufacturing team to bring an R&D product to final manufacture

• Design and produce detailed schematics, manufacturing drawings, cable schedules, wiring lists, parts lists, test sheets

• Produce and maintain detailed Bills of Materials and assembly drawings and consult with Assembly Engineers to ensure understanding of the project

• Continually research new products that meet the technical requirements and design needs of current or upcoming projects

• Build and maintain relationships with external suppliers, advise on end-of-life and manufacturer trends

• Interface with compliance to provide all necessary documentation to obtain 3rd party certifications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering

• Minimum of 7 years of experience

• Able to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment on projects with short lifecycles.

• Knowledge of circuit design and electronics principles

• Proven expertise as an electrical engineer

• Proven expertise working lay-outs

• Hands-on experience using design and calculation software

• Deep knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes
