Sr. DevOps Engineer

BlueWave is hiring a Sr. DevOps Engineer for a healthcare technology company with headquarters in Orlando, FL 32801. As a senior DevOps engineer, you will provide automation environments and developer workflows, enabling the company to transform healthcare.

Responsibilities:

• Creating CI/CD environments that provide rock-solid, frictionless rails for developers to deliver software.

• Enhancing engineer productivity by automating repetitive, manual tasks within our release processes.

• Building a comprehensive telemetry platform to monitor everything in our application environments proactively.

• Driving the goal of continuous delivery and helping to define the future of ops automation 

Requirements:

• Deep knowledge and experience in developing automation solutions to enable software build and release processes

• Providing thought leadership advancing DevOps initiatives, propagating best practices within and across teams

• Flexibility to plan and coordinate both team daily tasking and large-scale DevOps Initiatives across teams

• 5-7+ years of demonstrated experience with:

  • Building pipelines using one or more CI/CD platforms:

    • Azure DevOps, TeamCity, Jenkins, GitLab, GoCD, Octopus, AWS CodeCommit/CodeDeploy…

    • Android CI/CD pipelines a plus (Gradle, Maven, …)

  • Cloud PaaS app hosting environments: Azure App Services, Docker containerization, Kubernetes, …

  • Infrastructure as code: Terraform, Puppet

  • Source control tools: Git, ADO, TFS, …

  • Package management systems: yarn, npm, Nuget Server, Azure Artifacts …

  • Configuration management tools and best practices

  • Writing automation using modern scripting languages: Powershell, Python, JavaScript, …

  • Fluency working in Windows environments

  • Providing visibility into build/release environments through telemetry platforms, reports, and alerts

  • Evolving and evangelizing processes and tools to support applications in production environments

• Developing tool integrations through the use of APIs and scripting

• Ability to collaborate exceptionally well with developers, ops, and QA roles in an Agile team environment

• Strong problem solver with a passion for learning what makes our business tick

• Desire to continually improve all things DevOps

• Open willingness to help teach others ops best practices and automation
