Account Manager – Technology & Engineering
BlueWave is seeking a Territory Development Account Manager to drive expansion within the Technology & Engineering space. This role is responsible for building a new book of business by establishing relationships with companies hiring across IT, software, infrastructure, and engineering functions.

You will play a critical role in growing BlueWave’s presence in the market—partnering with organizations to deliver top technical talent while developing long-term, high-value client relationships. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong hunter mentality who understands technical hiring needs and thrives on building from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic plan to penetrate and grow a designated territory within the Technology & Engineering sector
• Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities with companies hiring for technical and engineering roles
• Build relationships with hiring managers, engineering leaders, IT directors, and executive stakeholders
• Conduct cold and warm outreach via phone, email, LinkedIn, and networking events to generate pipeline
• Lead the full sales cycle from initial outreach through contract negotiation and close
• Partner with recruiting teams to deliver highly qualified technical candidates and ensure successful placements
• Act as a consultative partner by understanding technical hiring challenges, market trends, and talent availability
• Establish long-term client partnerships with a focus on repeat business and account expansion
• Track pipeline, activity, and revenue goals to ensure consistent territory growth

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management (technology staffing or engineering recruiting preferred)
• Proven track record of generating new business and closing deals
• Familiarity with Technology and/or Engineering roles, hiring trends, or industries is strongly preferred
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage a sales pipeline and prioritize effectively
• Comfortable working in a startup or high-growth environment
• Willingness to travel locally for client meetings and industry events
