Assistant AVP Manager

BlueWave is hiring an Assistant AVP Manager for an entertainment client with headquarters in Orlando, Florida. As an Assistant AVP Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and management of Project-related Audio, Video, and Projection (AVP) elements.

Responsibilities:

• Works under the direction of, and in coordination with, the land-based AVP Manager to ensure compliance with technical and creative requirements, status reporting, and identifying issues with specifications, documentation, and/or site-specific construction issues.

• Acts as an extension of the Audio, Video, and Projection (AVP) team for the Project, supervising contracted vendors, coordinating strategies, and ensuring the successful completion of all AVP tasks and/or assignments through all aspects of design and production from design through final installation.

• Involves a combination of office work, meetings, construction site visits, and mock-ups to test, verify, and demonstrate creative intent and technical capability of custom elements.

• Review designs, inspect job site progress, track and report status, and participate in team and vendor meetings.

• Work with the AVP team on Audio, Video, and Projection tasks during design, fabrication, FAT, programming, installation, test/adjust, SAT, training, and turnover

• Review, coordinate, and/or document specific AVP scope tasks under the direction of the land-based AVP Manager

• Manages site work and assigned teams of vendor resources for AVP design activities in support of the overall Project goals and strategies

• Participates in AVP meetings either specific to the land or at the parkwide level

• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Experience having is boots on the ground in construction

• AV experience

• Comfortable with installation

• experience working and managing vendor relationships

• Themed entertainment/theatre background preferred

• Experience reading schematics and rack drawings and ultimately making the creative vision come to life.
