BlueWave is hiring a Fixed Assets Analyst for an enterprise hospitality/dining client with headquarters in Orlando, FL. As Fixed Assets Analyst, you will be responsible for: Â Responsibilities:
Maintain and update fixed asset policies and capitalization guidelines; communicate changes effectively to relevant stakeholders.
Review, process, and record fixed assets related to new builds, remodels, and existing restaurant locations, including invoice reclassifications and asset retirements.
Analyze invoices and construction documentation to ensure proper application of capitalization policies.
Prepare and post accrual journal entries for depreciation and retirement estimates, as well as unmatched purchase orders and invoices for assets placed in service.
Collaborate with Brand Finance, IT, and other departments to allocate expenditures and record assets as projects progress.
Partner with Brand Design to accurately allocate miscellaneous costs to appropriate locations.
Perform monthly account reconciliations and track transferred assets.
Monitor and reconcile Construction in Progress (CIP) accounts to ensure alignment with Oracle Projects.
Allocate and record capitalized overhead as needed.
Lead automation initiatives for specific asset categories, working closely with the Automation team to ensure process efficiency and accuracy.
Support special projects and ad hoc requests as assigned
 Required Experience & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, including journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close activities, depreciation, etc.
Proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset and a helpful attitude.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
 Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines, especially during month-end close.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
