BlueWave is hiring several Automation + Controls Technicians/Specialists for an aerospace manufacturer with headquarters in Starbase, TX and other locations in Florida and California. As Automation + Controls Technician, you will be responsible for: Responsibilities:
Build, wire, and test custom control panels following schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
Support installation and commissioning of automation systems, including robots, conveyors, and production equipment.
Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on electrical, PLC, and control systems to identify and resolve faults.
Collaborate with automation engineers to implement design changes and optimize system performance.
Maintain proper documentation of wiring changes, modifications, and system updates.
Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, company standards, and safety protocols.
Provide feedback to design and manufacturing teams to improve future builds and system designs
Required Experience & Skills
3+ years of experience in industrial automation, electrical controls, or panel fabrication.
Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and panel layouts.
Hands-on experience with PLC-based systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent).
Knowledge of VFDs, sensors, relays, and control wiring best practices.
Comfortable working in both shop and field environments, including production lines and large facilities.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with attention to safety and detail.
