Civil Engineer

BlueWave is hiring a Civil Engineer for an engineering client with headquarters in Tampa, FL 33602. As a Civil Engineer, you will work with a group of engineers across multiple disciplines to design, build, & maintain the infrastructure that is required to support various aspects.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement stormwater management systems to effectively address runoff and drainage issues on various projects.

• Ensure compliance with local regulations and environmental standards related to stormwater management.

• Develop drainage systems and solutions that minimize flooding risks and ensure efficient water flow on construction sites and civil projects.

• Conduct thorough drainage analysis and provide recommendations for improvement.

• Conduct zoning and code reviews to ensure that all civil engineering designs comply with local regulations, building codes, and zoning requirements.

• Collaborate with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.

• Develop site layouts that optimize land use and meet project objectives, taking into consideration factors such as accessibility, aesthetics, and functionality.

• Collaborate with architects and other stakeholders to integrate site layouts with overall project goals.

• Design grading plans that achieve proper land elevation and slope for optimal functionality and aesthetics.

• Incorporate lighting solutions into site plans, ensuring safety, security, and aesthetic considerations are met.

• Collaborate with electrical engineers to integrate lighting designs with overall project requirements.

• Stay informed about significant jurisdiction codes and regulations for the surrounding counties.

• Interpret and apply local coding requirements to ensure all civil engineering projects comply with legal and regulatory standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

• Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design tools.

• Strong understanding of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to civil engineering.

• Ability to conduct drainage analysis and design effective stormwater management solutions.

• Demonstrated experience in conducting zoning and code reviews for civil engineering projects.

• Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations governing land use and construction.

• Proven ability to create comprehensive and efficient site layouts that align with project goals and regulatory requirements.

• Experience in grading design to achieve optimal land elevation and slope.

• Knowledge of environmental best practices and regulatory requirements related to soil erosion

• Experience incorporating lighting solutions into site plans, considering safety, security, and aesthetic factors.

• Collaboration with electrical engineers to integrate lighting designs into overall project requirement

• In-depth knowledge of principal jurisdiction codes and regulations for the surrounding counties.

• Ability to interpret and apply local coding requirements to ensure project compliance
