BlueWave is hiring a dynamic Director of Business Development to join the team at a high-growth SaaS technology client in Jacksonville, FL. This person will be responsible for owning the business development and sales process at both a strategic and opportunity level.

A successful Director of BD will have a strong understanding of enterprise SaaS business development, direct sales, and strategic partnerships. This is a dynamic position with a seat at the strategy table, responsible for driving new business and making an impact on the bottom line.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing an effective business development strategy at a high level and executing on it at an opportunity level
  • Researching, identifying, and prospecting potential partnerships with other companies to achieve our overall objective of increasing customer count and revenue.
  • Actively campaigning client prospects, managing current/new accounts, and developing relationships into long-term partnerships
  • Researching and identifying potential mergers and acquisitions.
  • Performing market research to identify new opportunities and establish strategies for pursuing those opportunities.
  • Analyzing current customer base to identify potential sales and strategic opportunities.
  • Assisting in identifying and executing other strategic initiatives and opportunities to improve operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’ s degree in business, accounting, finance or a degree in math or science with accounting or finance experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience working in a business role; sales, business development or M&A within FinTech or Banking or SaaS.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Top-notch analytical and critical thinking abilities.
