Job Description:
Mechanical testing and validation engineer supporting ride & show systems from blue sky through commissioning. Responsible for strain, stress, and acceleration testing; validating vendor FEA models; and ensuring as-built systems meet required criteria and industry standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop and execute mechanical test plans
Perform strain gauge and accelerometer testing
Analyze stress, strain, and acceleration data
Validate vendor FEA and compare to real-world results
Support FAT and reduce technical risk
Conduct ASTM-based biodynamic acceleration testing
Interpret and apply applicable standards
Partner with sustaining engineering and project teams
Requires 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience with strong hands-on data analysis background. Ideal candidate has experience in complex mechanical systems (ride systems, aerospace, defense, etc.) and can communicate effectively with technicians and vendors.
