BlueWave is hiring a Fixed Asset Specialist for a growing enterprise client based in Orlando. As a Fixed Asset Analyst you will be responsible for processing and reviewing fixed assets, while applying guidelines during review of invoices and construction documents at a high volume.
Responsibilities:
Review, process, and record fixed assets associated with existing locations
Apply fixed asset policies and capitalization guidelines for the review of invoices and construction documents.
Processing of asset retirements
Review repair and maintenance accounts
Assist with preparation and processing accrual journal entries to record depreciation estimates for assets that have not been booked
Requirements:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Knowledge of accounting processes and practices.
General accounting knowledge including preparation of journal entries and relationship of balance sheet/income statements
Experience in accounting (processing invoices and requisitions, payroll, vendor account management, stop payments, journal ledger maintenance and postings)
Experience in analytical and reconciliation preparation accounting
Associate or undergraduate degree in Accounting (Preferred)
Experience working within construction or hospitality (Preferred)
