Job Description

BlueWave is hiring a Hotel Transitions Project Manager for an enterprise hospitality client with headquarters in Orlando, FL 32801. As Hotel Transitions Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading one or more concurrent cross-functional projects across the full lifecycle of a project in a fast-paced environment to tight date-certain timelines. 
 

Responsibilities:

  • Resolving risks/issues/dependencies across business workstreams and the enterprise

  • Delivering project results predictably, on time, and budget

  • Communicating across a full range of stakeholders; Providing regular updates on project status, risks, Issues, decisions, and progress measures

  • Creating/monitoring/working on detailed project plans

  • Managing Change – assessing, gaining approval, and incorporating change as necessary

  • Support other projects and internal Transition efforts as needed

  • Manage the successful execution of transition projects impacting the enterprise/hotel properties    

  • Led and supported cross-functional project teams made up of internal resources, led by non-traditional project leaders

  • Oversee timely execution of work effort from project teams

  • Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks, providing early visibility to schedules/milestones that are at risk

  • Identify and work to resolve project risks and issues; escalate as necessary.

  • Manage day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of one or more projects

  • Coordinate and facilitate communications with management and across teams

  • Manage project budget, scope, and internal customer expectations

  • Ensure Lessons learned are captured, shared, and action plans developed to address learnings for the organization on future projects

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of standard Transitions Playbooks.

  • Contribute to ongoing Transitions department initiatives.

 

Requirements: 

  • 2-3 years of progressive experience in Project Coordination/Project Management on projects in cross-functional environments

  • Formal traditional and/or agile project management experience and expertise

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Hospitality or a related field

  • Ability to work collaboratively across varied business functions

  • Ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to facilitate meetings and workshops in person and remotely

  • Ability to think and act analytically and strategically, solve problems, and recommend approaches and solutions

  • Ability to think creatively and to inspire others to do so as well

  • Demonstrated Leadership to motivate the team

  • Demonstrated ability to take a hands-on role where necessary to ensure the successful completion of projects.  

  • Limited Travel to hotel sites as necessary.
