Job Description

BlueWave is hiring a Project Manager for a global enterprise client in Orlando, Florida 32801. The Project Manager supports strategic and operational objectives by managing complex information technology projects to implement, upgrade, enhance, and replace critical software systems and information technology infrastructure. Project Manager applies industry best practice project management methodologies to initiate, plan, implement, monitor, control, & close-out projects.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor project strategic plans to achieve goals, performance measures, and deliverables for projects operating within divisions or departments, including the coordination of assigned resources & development of a related budget.

  • Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements as they apply to business processes and technologies.

  • Lead project teams as assigned including scheduling and monitoring the production of required deliverables.

  • Coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation of work processes, systems, and procedures to achieve project goals, objectives, and performance measures.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the project and make or recommend modifications including analysis of matters having a potentially significant impact on projects, prepare and present reports, and formulate courses of action needed to manage such modifications.

  • Assist with IT vendor scopes of work, vendor solicitation, and selection; manage vendor contract deliverables.

  • Direct and integrate all aspects of a project using: project management tools, principles, and practices; fiscal and budgetary principles, regulations, guidelines, and standards and policies; short and long-range planning tools and methods for project planning, assessment and management; and technical expertise for the assigned project.

  • Actively take steps to build a cohesive and results-oriented team using facilitation and team leadership techniques that create a cooperative and productive environment in which to resolve problems or develop and implement plans.

  • Establish collaborative internal and external relationships.

  • Develop fact-based recommendations; conduct assignments in a professional and timely manner; remain current on applicable ordinances, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Organize multiple assignments, sometimes of a complex nature or involving competing priorities, and analyze situations to develop a course of action to produce work products that are accurate, thorough, and on time.

  • Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing including the compilation of reports, presentations, and records; and interacting respectfully and sensitively with individuals and groups to develop and maintain productive relationships and achieve results.

  • Conduct post-project analyses to determine if goals were met and performance measures achieved

 

Requirements:

  • Comfortable working with end users to deliver business value early

  • Experience Coaching and facilitating others to adopt new practices

  • Facilitation and training design experience

  • Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education and experience

  • 3-5 years experience with Project Management in a full SDLC environment 

  • Facilitation skills in leading planning meetings, reviews, and retrospectives

  • Exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills
