We are hiring an Instrumentation Fitter on behalf of our client, a leading company in the aerospace industry.
This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing instrumentation systems used in industrial processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of instrumentation components, troubleshooting techniques, and industrial systems.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair various types of instrumentation equipment used in industrial processes.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and schematics for instrumentation systems.
- Assemble and install instrumentation components, including sensors, transmitters, control valves, meters, and gauges.
- Calibrate and adjust instrumentation equipment for accurate measurements and proper functioning.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in instrumentation systems using testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure system reliability and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with engineers and team members to plan and execute instrumentation installation projects.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of valve assembly and demonstrated rebuild experience.
- Extensive knowledge of pumps with a deep understanding of positive displacement and centrifugal pumps.
- Experience aligning pumps to motors and creating hoses or temporary connections using hydraulic torquing and crimping tools.
- Experience in proofing or cleaning newly made hoses.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hydraulic systems and a strong understanding of high-pressure fluid systems.
