Job Description

BlueWave is hiring a Master Tube Bender / Instrument Fitter for a fabrication client based in Fort Worth, Texas. As Master Tube Bender / Instrument Fitter, you will independently plan, fabricate, bend, and install precision stainless steel tubing for instrumentation applications. You will own tube fabrication work from layout through quality inspection while troubleshooting and executing solutions in a hands-on shop and field environment.

Responsibilities

Plan and lay out stainless steel tubing work independently
Fabricate and hand-bend precision tubing for instrumentation applications
Work with JIC connections, 37-degree flare tubing, and medium-pressure systems
Troubleshoot fabrication and installation issues and execute appropriate solutions
Perform quality-control inspections to ensure completed work meets required standards
Own the tube fabrication portion of assigned projects from start to finish
Serve as a technical resource with the potential to lead a crew as the team grows

Requirements

Expert-level stainless steel tube fabrication and bending experience
Advanced hand-bending and precision fabrication skills
Experience with JIC fittings and connections
Experience fabricating 37-degree flare tubing
Instrumentation and instrument-fitting experience
Ability to plan, lay out, and complete tubing work without step-by-step direction
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to execute solutions hands-on
Exceptional attention to detail and a strong quality-control mindset
Medium-pressure tubing or system experience strongly preferred
Leadership potential and the ability to guide tradespeople as the team grows
Demonstrated trade expertise; formal engineering education is not required

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire with an initial 6-month contract period; 100% onsite in Fort Worth, Texas
Pay Range: $35–$40 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM; four 10-hour shifts with potential overtime
