BlueWave is hiring a Manual QA Engineer for a SaaS Health Tech client based in Orlando, FL (remote based EST). This role will focus on testing and ensuring the quality of mobile applications, with a strong emphasis on manual testing.
The ideal candidate will have experience identifying and addressing defects, collaborating with development teams, and maintaining high-quality standards. While this role is primarily manual, there is potential for growth into automation testing in the future.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for mobile and back-end applications
- Perform manual testing, document defects, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues
- Validate data integrity within databases and ensure seamless API integration
- Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman to verify system communication
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and contribute to testing strategies
- Track and document defects using test management tools
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and best practices
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in manual QA testing, with a focus on mobile and back-end systems
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with database testing
- Proficiency in API testing and experience with relevant tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with development teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with test management tools such as JIRA or TestRail
- Basic knowledge of automation testing or scripting languages like Python or Java
- Familiarity with healthcare technology and data standards (HIPAA, HL7) is a plus
