Sr. Director of Cybersecurity

BlueWave is hiring a Senior Director of Cyber Security for a healthcare company with headquarters in Orlando, FL 32837.  As a senior director of cyber security you will be responsible for providing guidance on cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices.
 

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the design and implementation of robust cybersecurity architectures for networks, cloud environments, and applications.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and solutions to enhance the organization's security posture.

• Lead and manage a team of cybersecurity professionals, including managers, analysts, and engineers.

• Set performance goals, provide mentoring and career development support, and conduct regular performance evaluations.

• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the cybersecurity team.

• Identify, assess, and prioritize cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities across the organization's systems, networks, and applications.

• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and incident response plans.

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to cybersecurity.

• Develop and communicate the organization's cybersecurity vision, strategy, and roadmap.

• Collaborate with executive leadership to align cybersecurity goals with overall business objectives.

• Provide guidance on cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

• 10+ years of progressive experience in the field of cybersecurity, with a track record of increasing responsibility.

• Experience in leadership roles, preferably at the managerial or director level.

• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, tools, and best practices.

• Strong understanding of network security, application security, encryption, authentication, and access control.

• Familiarity with cloud security, identity and access management, and security architectures.

• Proven experience developing and executing cybersecurity strategies aligned with business goals.

• Ability to assess risks, analyze complex situations, and make informed decisions that balance security and business needs.

• Expertise in managing cybersecurity incidents and coordinating effective incident response plans.

• Ability to lead crisis management efforts, communicate with stakeholders, and mitigate the impact of incidents.

• Deep understanding of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements
